The Golden Rule states, “Do Unto Others as You Would Have Them Do Unto You.” Sounds noble, right? The drawback to this rule is that it assumes how I like to be treated is how YOU would like to be treated. This weekend, the first round of leadership training will introduce the students to their unique personality type and leadership style. Once they learn this, they will learn the importance of implementing the Platinum Rule which states “Do Unto Others As THEY Would Have You Do Unto them.” Implementing this rule will make sure the people they interact with in the future will feel heard and understood. I don’t know about you, but I truly believe it would be an amazing world if all felt heard and understood!
