#NSLCENGN students visited Space Center Houston and the NASA Johnson Space Center, where they were able to meet a real NASA engineer and pick his brain. Mr. Christopher Matty’s presentation focused on his vast volume of work including but not limited to his work on the International Space Station and the Orion Deep Space Missions. Additionally, he shared with the students his philosophy on leadership. He stressed accountability and selflessness as important traits of a good leader, along with giving examples of how these have allowed him to move up the chain at NASA.
